Balfour's Blinders vs vO's Vendetta

The Blinder’s came into this game knowing they only needed a draw to secure top of the table. This got off to a horrible start when a first-time lob from Theo B from outside the area beats the keeper to put the Vendettas 1-0 up and top of the table. Blinders almost immediately respond from kick off with a strike that hits the crossbar. Just before half time Blinders are handed a golden opportunity to level up as a penalty is given after a handball in the area. The keeper however stays tall as the penalty goes down the middle and is saved, and Vendettas go into half time 1-0 up. Vendettas start the second half by far the stronger side and have a flurry of key chances missed, the best one being a 1-on-1 to put the game – and title – beyond doubt that is saved. Against the run of play, a long strike from the Blinders is parried by the keeper into a crowd of people in the area, and after a goalmouth scramble the ball is hammered home by Seb D to make the score 1-1 and bring Blinders back to the top of the table. There was once again almost an immediate response from kick off that shook the crossbar but the Blinders held on to secure what seemed like a 1-1 win and finished top of the table.
